Slashed Seat Affair - Slugs and Dogging

Hello, hello.

Well it's been a busy time of late, not just with the band but with that thing called life that sometimes gets in the way of all the fun we have together.

Weekend before last and we played our favourite venue, The Motherbar on Old Street in Shoreditch. Thanks to all who attended and danced and sang along, you know who you are. Seriously, it was brilliant to see people singing along, made us feel good!

The day after we played the Purple Turtle in Camden. We had been rehearsing earlier in the day so it turned out to be a whole weekend of musical SSA.

Anyway, before the gig, we felt a bit peckish so we headed off for some nosh in Camden. Something nice and healthy we thought so Noel and I ordered the Cajun chicken on a healthy bed of leaves. Seemed ok, reasonable flavour I though. Well, I'd finished most of mine, Noel was on the way when he suddenly points at his plate and asks "Is that a slug?" whilst watching this bizarre, wriggling entity on his plate. Sure as chips is chips, it was a slug. Ah, how sweet I thought. .....Hang on a sec, I suddenly saw my empty plate before my eyes and felt slightly nauseous. Obviously a fuss was kicked up and refunds and wine offered in the way of compensation but even so,, I'd like to offer a quick tip to all eating establishments......wash your fucking salad you slack bastards.

Earlier the same day, I had been appalled at my cats behaviour. Well, appalled and a little let down if the truth be told. I was getting into
my car on my driveway which is parallel to an alleyway. Anyroad up, I hear this cat howling so poke my head around the corner to see this cat on top of another shagging the granny out of it. If anyone's seen a cat fuck, I can assure you it's not the tender, gentle artform I have raised lovemaking to but quite a brutal act. If this wasn't disturbing enough, my cat was standing only a few yards away watching!! My cat is a fucking dogger, Stan Collymore in a fluorescent collar. I'm dealing with the shame, rest assured, but it may be sometime before I can look at Mouzer in the same light.

On to other news and Ellie and I have have a song that is going to be included on an independent feature film "Do Elephants Pray", which is pretty cool for us. We've seen the film and it's really good. The track is provisionally called "Forget the World". It's all finished and mixed
and we like it, which is the main thing. We'll put it up at some point for your considered opinion, we'd really appreciate your views.

The album is going to be mastered in a couple of weeks which will be the final stage before it's ready to be unleashed. We're planning on a September release for the first single.
