Happy new year everybody. I'm writing this sitting more...
As a newly/ re-recruited member of Slashed Seat Affair (The fabulous), I have been asked to write a few words about, well, anything really, apparently?!?
So, here goes nothing, or possibly something, who knows, eek.
Where does one start with this sort of blog? Maybe with some likes and dislikes such as bad/ inconsiderate drivers, people who don’t know the difference between ‘then’ and ‘than’ or say ‘was’ instead of ‘were’ - all quite unacceptable really. I love Led Zeppelin and Star wars and Guitars though. They certainly make the world a better place, in my view.
Now onto the matter at hand, The (best) band (ever), I love playing with these dudes, I pretty much grew up playing in various bands with Rob and Darren. Rob I was at school with and Darren I met a couple of years later in the Fox pub in Palmers Green, I think thru a mates brother. We’ve been great mates ever since. Ellie ‘The Enigma’, I met thru Darren possibly on stage in Broomfield Park whilst they were being accused of ‘miming’. Hilarious, as if they ever would!!
Now to the present, the recent Abbey Road session will always be a a fantastic memory and a great experience (even though i know the place very well from previous projects) it was a special day, not just because I rejoined the band and Darren’s head got Guythorkin!! Great vibe.
Looking forward to more like it, all the gigs we’ve done have been great fun, its a wonderful family to be part of again with a great team making it all happen, thanks for making me feel so comfortable.
That’s it for now, I will be back soon hopefully, once I’ve got used to writing again!!
