Noely blog,

Soooooo, what have I been up to recently? Well, what haven't I been up to recently? Quite a lot really, I haven't done a bungy jump or won the lottery so I won't be writing about either of those things!! I have however been suffering from a weird cold that neither comes nor goes, it's just there, looming.

I am the proud and happy owner of a Glastonbury ticket, which was obtained after an hour of internet frustration and being told the 'server was busy' and 'Safari cannot open this page blah blah blah yada yada yada" but at last I was triumphant, hoorah, so, next summer I shall be going, with my old man and a host of crazy friends, to the best festival in the world. Now, ideally Slashed Seat Affair will be playing anyway so all this ticket buying grief will have been pointless but I really wouldn't mind, it's a dream of mine to play at Glastonbury.

Dear Jim,
Coluld you fix it for me and my band Slashed Seat Affair (the best band in the world, ever) to play at the super duper Glastonbury festival next year, PLEEEEEAAAASE?
yours truly

Noely Martin

That should do it!!!

The other Saturday night I went to see Sam Sparro at Shepherds Bush Empire, only because my friend is his tour manager and got me triple A passes!! But saying all this, he was actually pretty good, most entertaining I thought. Then we went off to the after party at Soho House (guess where that is!!) for drinks at premium prices which you couldn't actually order from the bar no matter how hard you tried, and believe me some of us tried VERY hard!!! No, you had to be served by floor staff who had to actually acknowledge your existence in order to supply you with liquid refreshment. I did have the chance to meet the man Sam Sparro but was actually quite drunk, no thanks to this venue though but due to prior consumtion at said gig, and to be honest don't know much about the fellow so I left him alone!!!

On Sunday, sore head and weird cold/flu thing still in tow, I managed to crawl out of bed and endure this Glasto ticket malarky before lying on the couch and watching South Park the movie then passing out. Then, waking up and realising i had to go and do my weekly acoustic duo in a little pub in Bush Hill park. The gig went pretty well, a nice chilled affair then home and a chinese... food that is!! Nice.

So, until next time folks, thats all.
Lots of love
Noel
